At Government Secondary School, Kubwa, I serve as the Head of the Agricultural Science Unit, where I have led the transformation of the subject from theory-based learning into a dynamic, hands-on experience for students. I established and currently manage a functional school demonstration farm that includes a thriving poultry unit, a fish pond for aquaculture, and a fluted pumpkin (ugu) farm — all of which are used to teach practical agricultural skills and promote agribusiness awareness. My role also involves mentoring students, preparing them for both academic excellence and entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture. I work closely with colleagues across disciplines to connect Agricultural Science with related subjects like Biology and Basic Science, creating a well-rounded and practical learning environment. Through my leadership, students are not only excelling in their studies but also gaining real-life skills that align with food security, sustainability, and youth empowerment goals.
